 This week at school, we:

- learned how to solve pan balance problems

- learned how to simplify algebraic equations

- completed our unit on personal narratives

- learned about forces (internal/external, contact/non-contact, etc.)

- learned about plasticity and elasticity and conducted experiments on various materials

- continued reading race and guided reading groups

- learned about prime and composite numbers

- learned how to find the prime factors for numbers using factor trees

- practiced least common multiples

- learned how to find factors and greatest common factors for sets of numbers

- began to learn about writing personal narratives

- had a Halloween Costume parade

- got to practice drumming and boom whackers for music

This week at school, we:
- wrote our math test on measurement
- started a new math unit on factors and multiples and learned how to identify and list multiples and find the least common multiple for a set of numbers
- continued to work on perfecting our paragraph writing skills
- learned about the 4 types of sentences (exclamatory, interrogative, imperative, and declarative)
- discussed the 3 main states of matter and how each state changes into the other states
- conducted an experiment using freezies to determine how a change of state (liquid to solid) impacts volume and mass

- Dress Up Day - October 31 (no masks, weapons, scary costumes or costumes with blood or gore)
