October 21-24, 2024

This week at school, we:
- wrote our math test on measurement
- started a new math unit on factors and multiples and learned how to identify and list multiples and find the least common multiple for a set of numbers
- continued to work on perfecting our paragraph writing skills
- learned about the 4 types of sentences (exclamatory, interrogative, imperative, and declarative)
- discussed the 3 main states of matter and how each state changes into the other states
- conducted an experiment using freezies to determine how a change of state (liquid to solid) impacts volume and mass

Important Information and Dates:

- NO SCHOOL - October 25 - PD DAY

- Dress Up Day - October 31 (no masks, weapons, scary costumes or costumes with blood or gore)

- NO SCHOOL - Fall Break: November 8-13, return on November 14

 This week in school, we:

- worked on greeting card art for a fundraiser

- completed our unit on measurement and did a review together

- presented some of our South Vista projects to the class

- worked on writing and editing simple paragraphs about topics of personal interest

- reviewed information about local governments

- got underway with our reading race challenge
