This week at school, we:

-  completed a virtual escape room using factors and multiples

- continued to work on our social project on South Vista

- learned more about prime and composite numbers

- added more books to our reading race tally

- had more time to work on our essays

- helped deliver over 500 texas donuts to the school

-Fall Break No classes on Nov 9-14.  Return to Class on Wednesday November 15 @ 8am

 Today at school, we:

- had free choice in gym class

- worked on solving word problems using greatest common factors (GCF)

- practiced our song and poem for Remembrance Day

- went to french class

- some kids had sign language club at lunch

- started to work on our South Vista social studies project

- had time for our reading race genre challenge

 This week at school, we:

- worked on finding lowest common multiples and greatest common factors

- learned about how local governments are formed and how city councils help cities to operate

- we continued our reading race and a few students have finally finished their first book reports to add our to tally

- worked on our persuasive essays and focused on applying what we learned about writing good paragraphs into our work

-learned about different types of school boards

-voted as a class and selected the song we will sing at the Remembrance Day assembly in November

 This week at school, we:

- worked on refining our grammar skills and reviewed subject/predicate, compound sentences/run on sentences and how to write really good paragraphs.

- learned how to classify leaves based on their branching patterns, margins and shape

- learned about dichotomous keys and will work on making our own later this week

- practiced subtracting decimal numbers with regrouping

- had picture day today

- Addition/Subtraction Math Test - moved to Tuesday October 10

- Grade 6 Vaccines on Wednesday October 11
